The suitability review
A full refund if it can’t be modelled
MBA reviews your concept before any modelling starts. If it can’t be modelled within the MBA building system, we tell you why and refund you in full. Once modelling has started, the fee is not refundable.
Your changes
Two consolidated revision rounds
A round is one set of changes you ask for together, after we hand your model over. Corrections to MBA’s own modelling never use a round. Further changes, or changes that amount to a new design, can be quoted separately.

A few useful things to know before you order.
What can I send?
A hand sketch, a photo of one, a plan from another designer, or simply a description. Files are PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP — the order form shows how many and how large. A photo taken on an iPhone may need saving as a JPG first.
Do I need a Shouse Designer account?
No. If you don’t have one, MBA sets one up with the email you order with, and your model is waiting in it. Ordering Sketch to Shouse does not start a subscription.
Is it a redesign?
No. Sketch to Shouse models your concept as you describe it, within the MBA building system. If you want MBA to design something new, or your changes amount to a new design, that is quoted separately.
What if my concept can’t be modelled?
MBA reviews every concept before any modelling starts. If it can’t be modelled within the MBA building system, we tell you and refund you in full. Once modelling has started, the fee is not refundable.
What can I do with the model?
It is a Shouse design like any other: explore it in 3D, place it on your block and try colours. Order a Detailed Estimate when you want MBA’s review, or the Custom Package ($1,500 inc GST) when you are ready to document it. Changing it yourself is a Shouse Designer subscription ($29/month inc GST), cancel anytime.
Does this mean my home is engineered or approved?
No. The model is a design proposal on MBA’s structural grid. Site-specific engineering is part of your Engineered MBA Kit, and approval decisions rest with your council or certifier — MBA is not your builder, certifier or approval authority.
