Good to know

A few questions,
answered clearly.

Understand the arrangement before you apply.

Talk to MBA
Is this a franchise or reseller arrangement?
The agreement licenses Shouse Designer to your independent business. You control your brand, pricing, contracts and operations. It does not appoint you as MBA’s agent, franchisee, distributor or representative, and provides no exclusive territory.
Do I have to buy kits through MBA?
The software licence does not require kit purchases. MBA-controlled BOM and engineering outputs are restricted to the corresponding MBA structural supply unless agreed otherwise in writing. You may source an independent alternative design and supply solution. If MBA cannot or declines to supply for reasons not caused by your breach, the agreement provides for written alternative-use permission or a refund for affected unusable outputs, at your election and subject to its terms.
Are all features and exports included?
Your agreement records the features enabled for your account and the number of authorised users. Feature access and output charges are separate: an enabled capability does not make its exports or deliverables free. Customer referral links are included, while other modules are configured for your account. Training, additional services and professional work are separately agreed.
Can I publish my own design range?
Discuss your catalogue and presentation needs with MBA. Approved outputs can be used for permitted marketing during your agreement, subject to the relevant rights and payments. Reusing a catalogue design across multiple projects requires separate written permission specifying the designs, scope, term and fees. Branding an output does not transfer ownership of MBA’s technology or allow rebranding of the platform.
Are generated drawings ready for construction?
Platform-generated concepts and preliminary drawings support design development, client presentation, estimating and early planning. They must not be issued as final engineering, construction or building-approval documentation without the required project-specific professional review and certification. A professional’s final signed deliverable may be used within its authorised scope. Approval decisions remain with the relevant authorities.
What happens to my outputs if I leave?
Paid approved outputs generally retain their permitted project-use rights, subject to the agreement and any professional’s own terms. General advertising, public portfolio and catalogue use must stop and be removed within the period your licence sets, unless continuing rights are agreed in writing. Controlled-output restrictions continue. You can request an export of eligible customer and project data after the agreement ends, within the window it sets and subject to customer terms and consent.

Your signed commercial licence records the agreed features, charges and permissions.
